I am believing that I might not die next month

My name is Steve [deleted] (72 years old) and I discovered the Linus Pauling Therapy about 15 days ago. In that time I have purchased both Heart Tech and Cardioade and have been on 6000mg and 2500mg daily for about one week. I have been on a sugar free diet for 8 days and lost about 8 pounds down t...

Re: Mixing Vitamin C and Proline powder

Sherry Lewin also posted a chart of vitamin C diluted in water. The vitamin breaks down by 50% in 4 hours, but stays at 50% indefinitely after that. The decay is dependent on concentration, temperature, etc. The more concentrated, the slower the decay. I know of no similar measurements of vitamin C...

Re: German trying to use PT to lower Lp(a) without success

One of the problems with measuring Lp(a) is that it varies greatly in size - making the weight misleading. Lets consider 10 particles. If the 10 are smaller ones, weigh less, they are more atherogenic, so a greater weight may mean less risk.. that the Lp(a) is larger. This is probably why today the...

Study: Intake of Vitamin C improved brain cognitive function

http://macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/32588/54/ They found that among those who were cognitively intact, blood concentrations of vitamin C were correlated with cognitive ability; no such correlation existed in those with cognitive impairment. In addition, cognitively impaired individuals have sign...

Popular supplements and remedies such as vitamin C, selenium, and acai berries had no evidence to support the idea that they could treat cancer.

That's how you would learn, no pampering. eDOC!! I stand before you eDOC totally confused. I'd have to review these posts fo...

Re: Mixing Vitamin C and Proline powder

I am a little confused. Who would tell you not to mix you lysine and proline with vitamin C? We learned from Sherry Lewin ( Vitamin C: Its Biology and Medical Potential , 1976) that vitamin C breaks down in the gut in the presence of carbohydrates, but chelates with, and is protected by the presenc...

Re: German trying to use PT to lower Lp(a) without success

Lp(a) increased to 0,92 g/l from 0,49 g/l three months ago. Not sure about those commas, but I think 0.92 grams is 920 mg/liter or 92 mg/deciliter? 92 versus 9.2 if a decimal is off is a big deal. 92 is very high. 9.2 is okay. If very high, then you are doing exactly the correct thing - taking Lp(a...

Re: Oddly High Lp(a) Measurements

Thus the conversion of 272 nmol/L to mg/dl is to divide by 2.4? Thus 113 ish (mg/dl)

The reported total LDL (first post) was 121. (mg/dl)

So it is possible, but means that the entire LDL measured was Lp(a)?

So to answer a question, no, I don't believe the Lp(a) reported is accurate.

Re: Oddly High Lp(a) Measurements

Thank you Owen, I am looking at the report again, from Lab Corp. I can’t determine if the Lpa is measured or “computed". The reference internal range is <75. As far as the other cholesterol numbers, the units are measured in mg/dL. YES, my husband and I agree with you that it’s very odd that w...

Re: Getting started and have a few questions

Those are the dosages Linus Pauling first recommended, and I would guess they should be sufficient given your low body weight. It is interesting that you asked about proline. In our experience, while taking vitamin C and lysine provide relief of symptoms, Lp(a) does not come down until proline is a...

Oddly High Lp(a) Measurements

Hello Owen, I came across the Vitamin C Foundation and your forum, and have some questions regarding lipoprotein (a). I am 54 years old and for the last 15 years now, and I have been made aware that I have high lipo a. My most recent blood work indicated that it is still high: 256 nmol/L The rest o...

Re: Infected teeth and gums directly cause greater than 90% of all heart attacks (American Heart Association)

Only a guess - but from Boyd Halley's videos - the mercury can be seen vaporizing during chewing . Vitamin C can neutralize the most dangerous form of mercury, but given mercury's relation to Alzhimer's and dementia.. I would seriously consider getting rid of the mercury http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: DMSO for the resolution of Adrenal Malfunction

There is a definite correlation between DMSO and intense, vivid dreaming. The last time I experienced this was a long time ago when I began using melatonin.
