I’ll buy 12Mg. Spread out over the day, For three months with monitoring,, after that??
You’ll know what I’m talking about after this.

Since this(oops ment next) weekend is fathers day I figured I’d give Owen something to feel good about. I figured since there’s no football on he’s going to need something that keeps his interest. There’s 5 parts to the first one, 2 on the other all parts are10 minutes long. I also linked their homepage. Enjoy!
I know you’ll be skeptical at first but 2 minutes into you’ll probably be taking notes and your eyes will be glued to the monitor. You think???

You forgot the Blackhawks!
So you are now going to be taking a thyroid supplement and have not even had the min. TSH test done???? Did I get that right???
By the way forget your hair and watch your eyebrows!!!

No, I am taking your advise and spending $1000 for a complete male hormone panel (from Life Extension) plus the saliva testing. All to bring to my "cortisol friendly" doc at the end of the month. I do require a prescription, so there will be another opinion in play on this.

However, I am excited, because my morning armpit temp was today around 94 degrees (my wife as the control is close to 98 degrees.

I think Randian's experience may be applicable to my case, and I am anxious to see whether I can lower my methyl prednisone dosage after 3 to 4 months on dessicated (natural) thyroid. A) I know that going to even 1 mg now would put me back in the hospital, 2 mg leads to joint pain and difficulty lifting my arms, and over time 3 mg leads to problems in knees walking up the stairs. I am back to 4 mg (played tennis yesterday) and my blood sugar yesterday a.m. was 150 mg.

So if all goes as planned, I should be able to tell, at least in my own personal case, if my problem really stemmed from low thyroid function, or some kind of feedback problem between both glands. I am excited to potentially get off cortisol!

Out of your own pocket, I presume? I hope I catch you before you spend that much money. Consider Health Check USA, MyMedLab, or Direct Labs (no cortisol, but the other labs are inexpensive). You still need to pay a phlebotomist, but overall you should save a lot of money with any of these services.

I agree with Randian that’s a lot of $$.

Example: We had a nurse who was experiencing Pre menopause and went to one of those Franchised HRT clinics. Two office visits ½ hour each, 4 point saliva test and a complete blood panel, compounded meds and a complete diet plan Totaled out to $640. Results she said “she feels 20 years younger!”
And won’t even bother turning anything over to the insurance because she said it was worth every penny of it.
Of course everyone’s results are different but you can see what she got for her money!
Bottom line: That’s a little too steep!

Here’s a ND from Cali. (with a 70’s afro) And how she approaches artey you notice she starts her diagnoses with a confirmation done by testing.

Same one on Adrenal fatigue.

Sometimes it’s easier to watch you tube and listen to what other people have to say then reading. I guess the Blackhawk’s did make it to the playoffs. Now about them Cubs???????

Re arm pit temperature:

"skin will begin to sweat almost precisely at 37°C and the perspiration will increase rapidly with increasing skin temperature". (That is 98.6 F.)

I have always measured a low basal temperature on myself, but my MD
considers blood test info as the only valid test. Accordingly no medication
allowed for me.

As a correlation with the above info, it takes me around 20 minutes in
a 185 degree sauna to start sweating. Most others start sweating much
sooner. I infer that this is added info proving that I would benefit from
the use of medication.

Comments?

Are you sure that's the right temperature? I'd worry about dying in 20 minutes at that temperature, not sweating.

Google say:

A sauna session can be a social affair in which the participants disrobe and sit or recline in temperatures typically between 70 °C (158 °F) and 100 °C (212 °F). This induces relaxation and promotes sweating.

This is off topic, so I'll stop now :)

I believe the LEF tests were around $700 for the complete male hormone panel.

I forget what the saliva test costs, but I also added in the doctors visit, and added it up and rounded off to $1000
