Hello Joanna
If it is 50 ng, it's OK (60-80 is better). If it is 50 nmol, it is not a good number.

I used to use DSMO externally for muscle pain (not any more now that I take Dribose).
Is it safe to swollow?

My Lpa went from 30 to 13 in 3 mo of PT. My EF is 50-55 from 30-35 (1 mo out from CABG on Nov 3,16)
Intrigued....

What have you done, to increase your EF?

I have been on Pauling Therapy since last June..my Lipoprotein a was above 100 the doctors wouldn't goive me the exact number...2 months ago I had it redone at a private Lab. My doctor would not order it..because he did not want me on the Pauling Therapy..but it was the only thing that worked ..I was quite sick and needed help fast ..so glad I found this site it saved my life..so I'm not sure how long it took for the Lpa to come down but it was that low after 8 months.

Today I've got my new blood levels. Lp(a) dropped down to 49 mg/dl. PT works. Since February Lp(a) did decline from 100 to 86, and now 49. Great! Now I'm sure to decrease it lower 10.

Hi I ma new in your forum . Can you tell me what product you are taking to lower LP(a). I am taking already 5 months 15g viit c and 6g lisyne and 3 gr praline but I have still high lipoprotein(a) over 150. Can you help me?

Look at the topic "German trying PT to drop Lp(a) without success". There you can find the complete story. And note the answer from johnwen. I take now 10-20 grams C Powder, 6-8 grams lysine and 1,5 grams proline. Additional 1-2 grams niacine. Next blood test in July.

Frodo,
Do you know your blood type?
I have noticed As and ABs doing will on a vegan, low fat, high carb diet.
Conversely, the same types trying to go paleo & their A1c rises.
The digestive enzyme IAP is lowest in these people and highest in Os followed by Bs.
I wonder if Lpa is impacted similarly.

BTW, I need to apologize to zarfas for flaming him as I did. I see this better now & was not polite as well...

I don't know. And I've never heard or read that it is important for Lp(a). I'm on Paleo since 5 years. My hbA1c is 4,8%. And all my other blood values are optimal. Only Lp(a) is/was high. According to Linus Pauling and Matthias Rath, I believe Lp(a) is a surrogate for vitamin c.

Give blood or get the Swedish card tester kit.
Make a fool of yourself for 1 mo on the blood type diet. You have nothing to loose...

Sorry, blood type diet? Our ancestors and all animals did/do not know blood type diet. They ate/eat genetic correct. I am not interested and don't want to know the "blood type diet" too.

Since 4 weeks I've cut aspirin completely, and I'm going on only with PT, additional omega-3, vitamin e and other vitamins, opc, amino acids and so on. And last but not least: a lot of exercise.
