Sounds reasonable to me too Zarfas. My Lp(a) levels significantly reduced despite embarking on an exercise regime. However I was supplementing with Vit C and Niacin.

These studies can really mislead folk into doing the wrong thing if taken at face value. Exercise = higher Lp(a) = increased risk of MI / stroke. Completely the wrong course of action and ignores key information as you point out

It is something i actively tell my marathon runners they must take.

I read the summary and then the study. From what I gather maybe high intensity training on a regular basis makes lpa go up and moderate exercise could make it go down or stay the same from people not supplementing.

Could this be why some runners just drop dead even though they seem to be in great health?

This seems to confirm PT more than it does anything else.

I had a MI on 5/14. From about 9/14 to 10/16 I exercised 4 to 5 times a week, up to 50 flights of stairs quite often. No VC supplementation at all. Polysorbate 80 from ONE COq10 dose push me into a mild MI in late October. Had a CABG the next month.

Started PT about new years day.

excuse me for not being uptodate with the jargon....what?

to translate this to words
you had a heart attach on 5, 2014
fron sept 2014 to october2016, almost 2 years you exercised 4-5x a week
didnt take any vit C in those 2 years

then you took some co10 and feel that that Polysorbate 80 in that pill(Polysorbate 80 is a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier often used in foods and cosmetics. This synthetic compound is a viscous, water-soluble yellow liquid) made you have another heart attack

which lead you to have a CABG (Coronary artery bypass grafting)

then you started Pauling therapy(taking vitamin C and lysine?)

a few comments from me
how did the polysorbate 80 cause a heart attack?
you "exercised", weight lifting? yet that wasnt useful to prevent a heart attack? what was that useful in doing? getting you lean(15 % or less) or getting you lean?

My whole point is exercise without VC got me in a worst condition.

I did not say the poly 80 was what caused my CVD, I said it caused an early MI in somebody who was headed that direction already.

Many testimonies of havoc.

It IS contraindicated for anyone with a history of heart failure or MIs!
Look it up!

OK It wasnt clear
exercise without VC and just daily living uses VC, you never know when you are low

Costco Qunol
It took less than an hour, it felt like a panic/hyperventilation spell, after 20 flights on a stair climber. Could not sleep w/o elevation, hospital found markers.
