Question on Lysine/Arginine Antagonism

Post Number:#1  Post by ofonorow » Fri Apr 04, 2008 10:41 am

Dear Mr.Fonorow,

Does l-lysine and l-arginine cancel each other out?
I'm taking a l-arginine liquid drink as well as
cardio-c.

Any thoughts on this???

Thank you,

B.L.

Good question. I don't believe that with respect to CVD/plaque build up, that arginine in any way cancels lysine, and they are probably synergistic.

This antagonism we hear about has to do with DNA, if my understanding is correct, and coiling the triple helix, such that lysine tends to reduce viral outbreaks, and arginine seems to exacerbat viral symptoms. Many experts recommend an equal balance.
