The Vitamin Myth Exposed

Owen,
This article is accurate in pointing out the deception of many vitamin companies' use of the word natural and food grown.
However, to state that all synthetic vitamins are toxic and that mega doses provide no health benefits is not only nonsense, but misleading and harmful.
This article turns the science of nutrition into a religion of dubious doctrines.

Roger J. Williams, the discoverer of pantothenic acid coined the term "biological individuality" at least as early as 1956.

What "biological individuality" teaches is that specific nutrient requirements vary sometimes exponentially between individuals. In the case of pellagra, niacin deficiency disease, some pellagra sufferers will have to take megadoses of niacin to avoid a relapse.

"Biological individuality" applied to orthomolecular (the right molecule) nutrition is the only hope for many suffering with genetic and environmental diseases.
The nutrient requirements for these individuals cannot realistically be met by food or food derived nutrients.
We know this is especially true for ascorbic acid (vitamin C) since humans are hypoascorbemic GULO deificient mutants.
This paper is an example of Williams' work:
Individuality in vitamin C needs.

I strongly believe that we should all support and consume organic foods and avoid junk foods.
Prudent people will also use nutritional supplements wisely.
Ascorbic acid saves lives and improves health and wellbeing for pennies a day
