Soy lecithin vs sunflower lecithin

Post Number:#1  Post by ajhewitt » Thu Nov 17, 2016 1:08 am

I have read a few bad reports about soy lecithin in favour of sunflower,I find soy easier to work with as it appears more soluble and much easier to obtain non gmo type.opinions welcome.

I read it as well, from Dr. Mercola.
He meant that the purpose of the sunflower lecithin was merely used as an emulsifier and soy lecithin has a plethora of potential health risks.

None GMO Sunflower Lecithin is fairly easy to obtain. There did seem a shortage recently which did make it harder to purchase. I do not know whether that has changed since I last looked. I got mine from Germany.

I got it from Germany also, from Breinbauer. It works fine and it's in powder form.

I do believe all soy lectins & what not to be washed out in processing.

Dr D'adomo has also confirmed this but I cannot find it at the moment.
The haxane fraction may be more of a concern though.
Now brand is all hexane refined. As are most all soys.
So maybe cold pressed sunflower is better for some.
But for me and other type Os sunflower is an agglutinator of the blood.

Yes that was were I got it from. It does not taste quite as nice as other sunflower lecithin that I have purchased but it is meant to be de-oiled which is helpful as all that omega 6 in sunflower is not beneficial.
