Age-reversing pill that Nasa wants to give to astronauts on Mars will begin human trials within six months

Treating mice with an NAD+ 'booster' called NMN improved their cells' ability to repair DNA damage caused by radiation exposure or ageing

For the past four years, Professor Sinclair and Dr Wu have been working on making NMN into a drug substance with their companies MetroBiotech NSW and MetroBiotech International.

The Bruce Ames group has been studying and reporting for years how various B vitamins can "repair" DNA, and if the telomeres are not extended, no one will live forever. But if anyone has time to research "NMR" please post.

The B vitamin - which again, is similar to what Bruce Ames group studies for DNA repair... I was so excited typing

As an aside on radiation damage, L Ron Hubbard, yes of Scientology fame, experimented with niacin and found that the flush usually occured in area where one has been sunburned and surmised/found? taking niacin will release radiation damage. The thing is, you need the flush. Not so bad unless you are not expecting it. I have done yearly niacin 'cleanses' for my fair skin since learning this. Additionally I have taken it again now more regularly and it had brought cholesterol levels down, reduced elevated liver enzymes and blood pressure (from normal to low so beware if on heart medication).

As I posted on the other forum, this is just a vitamin and a patented drug that's supposed to earn big bucks for the Sinclair gang. It doesn't reverse or slow aging anymore than nicotinic acid does but it's a lot more expensive and it's patented.
