acute appendicitis with purulent infiltrates on other organs - vitamin C?

Post Number:#1  Post by xor2 » Sat May 12, 2018 2:51 pm

Hello,

My younger brother and I come from Poland. My brother Peter went abroad to
Russia where he started feeling abdominal pain.
He went to that hospital where he had immediate surgery operation.

The doctors in that country found out that he has: acute appendicitis with
purulent infiltrates on other organs.
He had wide spectrum antibiotics, he left the hospital and stayed there in
Russia for a few days to recover.

Because he had temperature fluctuation together with blood pressure picks
from time to time, he managed to
come back to the country and he went straightaway to our polish hospital.

In spite of the fact that polish doctors found out a wide range of
postoperative neglects they also concluded
(as far as I understood) that:

He has organs "glued" together: the appendix, contra-angle, large intestine
as a result of purulent infiltration.
They are doing now: blood culture and giving him antibiotic: Amoxicillinum,
Acidum clavulanicum.

The worst thing is that the doctors informed my brother that probably they
would have to do: ostomy ...

What I desperately seeking is information:

1) if There is vitamin c procedure that could help my brother in his health
condition,
2) What exactly could be given? (vitamin c, dosage, drip, orally etc),
3) Does anyone have contact (tel no/e-mail) to Dr Thomas Levy?

Any, really, any help I will appreciate,

Not sure if an option in Poland, here in Africa we eviscerate and wash and scrub the intestines to get rid of the gluey stuff and put back in.

I don't know if eDOC still participates, but DMSO seems to be one obvious potential solution. DMSO can even be taken orally.

I would also try the dietary supplement carnosine for its property to break apart glycated (sugar and protein) molecules. Maybe start as high as a gram, spread throughout the day. (CarnoSine not carnotine). LEF.ORG carries it, like everything else.

While Vitamin C might not help with this specific issue, per se, it would be a wonderful idea to support his body with bowel tolerance vitamin C orally, or at least 50 g IV/C. (Chronic scurvy may even be at the root of the problem.)

Thank You Ofonorow for your answer.

My brother left the hospital. It turned out that the doctor that works in the hospital but on oncology, she administers VC as a private practice.
The same day he left the hospital he had 50gr vit. C in the drip together with Magnesium in the evening!

We are thinking how many 50gr drips would be necessary for him. He is planning to do two more. Can you advise something with regard to
dosage, interval, how many times?

Thanks!

How fortunate!

The frequency of the IV depends on how much vitamin C he can take orally. Dr. Levy told me that he finds that 50 gram/IV is a general tonic, and good for most things (other than perhaps fighting a malignancy, which requires more, e.g .80-200 g). If you brother can take vitamin C orally, say 10 to 20 grams, spread out throughout the day, he should do that.

If his doc can add DMSO to the IV, that could be a big win for your brother. eDOC has mentioned that he gives DMSO/IV's for days in a row (sometimes 10 days) to effect the cures he writes about at this forum. eDOC provided a formula based on body weight, to reach a therapeutic dosage, and I'd review https://www.vitamincfoundation.org/pdfs/eDOCs-Pearls-of-DMSO-Wisdom.pdf

eDOC wrote:By 0.8 grams, I mean approx 0.8 mL/kg, suppose if you weigh 70 kg, you would require 56 mL.
5 cc of DMSO ........I recommend min of 25 mL, and my usual dose is 50 mL of DMSO per IV.

When I was trying to use DMSO to restart my adrenal function, we started around 10 g DMSO and worked up. I then weighed about 104 kg, so .8 X 104 = 112. I don't think I ever reached that level, but probably got up to around 90mL DMSO.

Any ostomies can be avoided, using DMSO infusions, but nothing can be recommended without details of med condition, labs, images etc.

eDOC!!

@ jimmylesante, read your mail, shall get back to you.
Rookie, rusty, subaverage doc but one that gives results. I'd recommend to think twice, before sending emails, since would charge for a consult!
